Anagrams

HP & HBP introduced a lot of new characters with odd names.

What about past and present members of the Slug Club: Marcus Belby, Melinda Bobbin, Dirk Cresswell, Barnabas Cuffe, Ambrosius Flume, Ciceron Harkiss, Gwen Jones, Cormac McLaggen and Blaise Zabini? Then there's Gawain Robards, the Head of the Auror Office, Octavius Pepper, who disappeared, and Galatea Merrythought, the DADA professor in the first half of the twentieth century. And the infamous Roonil Wazlib, of course. Most of those look to me like anagrams waiting to happen.

The best I could come up with today was:

ROMILDA VANE = DRAMA IN LOVE

So this inaugural challenge on hp_wordplay is to devise the most appropriate (or wildly inappropriate?) anagram for a Harry Potter character or place.

Special rule: no Tom Marvolo Riddle (unless you can come up with something really original).

Please leave any suggestions as comments on this post, as everyone has so far. Thanks, Gin, for pointing out that I hadn't made this clear. Use of the Internet Anagram Server is permitted (I don't see how I could stop you anyway!) but please be selective and just post the best ones.

I can't take credit, but someone figured out that Romilda Vane = I'm a Dan lover.
I really suck at these, but I might try when I am not getting interrupted every two seconds. Oh, I could prpbably accomplish so much if I could just get 10 minutes to myself.
Internet Anagram Server, if it's not cheating too much ;)

It kind of gives a lot of useless answers, but
HORACE SLUGHORN =
How did he treat Ginny Weasley? "GAL CUR HE HONORS"
How he felt when he met Harry.. "LO, SCAR HUNGER HO!"
Does he have a love life? "HAG CRUSH OR LONE?"
And I heard he came back to teach at Hogwarts a second time "HAG SCHOOL RERUN"
And Riddle was in his club!?? "HONORS CRUEL HAG."
Using the Anagram Server's fine.

I think LO, SCAR HUNGER HO!" is my favourite of these.
I love anagrams.

Does it have to be something new in HBP? Because I came up with one for Albus Dumbledore - A Bulbous Meddler.

Actually, I think my other favourite is a Tom Marvolo Riddle - Odd Immortal Lover. Or at least that's what Ginny tells us.

So yeah.

Albus Dumbledore - A Bulbous Meddler
Tom Marvolo Riddle - Odd Immortal Lover
A Bulbous Meddler

!!! Hee!
No it doesn't have to be HBP-related. It was just that reading some of the names in HBP gave me the idea. I love the Dumbledore anagram.
Marcus Belby = Creamy bulbs.

Roonil Wazlib = I waz Ron, O Bill.
Netspeak + Shakespeare? *sucks*
I wonder if anyone's done a Netspeak version of Shakespeare?

Designer tampons??!!

I always thought you were a bit weird.
Given the Astronomy Tower's usual function in fanfic, these seemed appropriate anagrams:

A tryst now, Romeo
Ron, try a twosome!

Snape's classroom gives…

… what you might find there:

Nose, sarcasm, slop
"PC lessons?" "Aromas!"

…what you need in potions lessons:

Scales, spoon, arms.

… and Snape's view of Harry's potion:

"A crap mess – no loss."
So fun! LOL! Ron, try a twosome! LOL!
